Last year Pantone stated that their 2013 colour would be emerald green but do brides want to embrace it and make it part of their colour palette? Shalga, one of my lovely brides last year, certainly did and she took the colour head on. She dressed her bridesmaids in green and contrasted it with her other chosen colour, burnt orange. We used accents of green against the orange in her decorations and the result? Fabulous (if I do say so myself!)
Others aren´t so sure. This year some of my lovely brides-to-be are still rocking the vintage look with lots of pearls and lace while others are taking on bold colours (though noone is going green with envy just yet!) and adding them here and there as accents. I think it´s great to have a theme, style or colour for your wedding as it sets you apart from everyone else and gives your day a special vibe but if it´s in fashion and not really ´you´, don´t do it. You don´t want to look back on your wedding photos in 20 years time and think ´What the hell was I doing?´.
