Cocktail Bar Inspiration

One of my clients next year has been lucky enough to be loaned a private villa by friends of theirs in the hills of Marbella (what kind friends they have!) for their wedding blessing and I would like to share my inspirations with you for their very cool cocktail bar. The garden itself is vast and as well as having a lovely pool area where the guests will be eating, the lower part of the garden where there is a waterfall and pond is going to be the setting for the their ´chill out bar´ area. We are going to use their chosen colour scheme - lemon and lilac - throughout the venue and also to decorate the bar area which will serve their signature cocktails and the surrounding areas like the trees and water features.

The trees will be decorated with lemon and lilac paper lanterns with fairy lights and ribbons so they will create a soft and dreamy atmosphere as day turns into night. My clients are a very down-to-earth and informal couple so want somewhere the guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful views while sipping cocktails as the sun goes down and this will really reflect their personalities.

Beachside Wedding

The Guadalmina Hotel in San Pedro, Marbella was the setting for my gorgeous couple Grace and Joey. The hotel is right on the beach and has such amazing views that it makes it a popular venue. Grace and Joey had their reception in the restaurant overlooking the beach and then partied the night away in their very own private nightclub downstairs.

Their chosen colour scheme was hot pink and ultra purple which looked stunning. We dressed the reception room with purple organza chair sashes and surrounded the centrepiece flowers with mirrors and floating candles. On a low lying wall overlooking the sea there were large fairy light lanterns so as the sun went down a warm glow was created behind the top table. The effect was dreamy and created the perfect atmosphere when the guests went onto the beach after their meal to release sky lanterns. We created a fun candy bar too for the guests to enjoy including old retro sweets which went down a treat.

Huge thanks to brilliant photographer Kris McGuirk  for the photos and super organised wedding planner Lisa Franco from Bella Weddings in Spain. True professionals through and through and always a pleasure to work with.

Wedding at the Villa Padierna, Estepona

Set just a couple of kilometres from the beach is the stunning Villa Padierna Hotel in Estepona and this was the venue for my lovely clients Louise and Brian who held their wedding reception there. The scene could not have been more perfect - beautiful scenery, sun, blue skies and a relaxed and happy couple. We created a butterfly and crystal garland decorated ´Wish Tree´ for Louise and Brian instead of the traditional guest book. Throughout the evening guests were invited to visit the tree and place a ´wish´ for the couple which we then presented to the bride and groom the following day in a pretty box for them to treasure for many years to come. Continuing with the butterfly theme we supplied decorated fans (which the guests were grateful for in the hot sun!) and placecards for the meal.

A few days after the wedding I received this from Louise:

Hi Michelle,

Thank you so so much for everything, the wish tree was even better than I could have imagined, and everyone commented on it, it was fabulous, thank you so much.

I dont know how to thank you enough for everything, the place looked magical.

We got the bag you left for us and the two cards were in the bag, thank you for that.

Thanks a million again,

Talk to you soon

Louise

xx
