Roisin and Stuart : The Big Event at Shanti Som, Marbella

After such a crazy and incredible season this year I have been pretty slack recently posting on my blog so apologies to anyone that's been waiting to see more 'wedding porn' as I like to call it. I hope the wait has been worth it.

Roisin and Stuart got hitched way back in October at the stunning Shanti Som boutique hotel in the hills behind Marbella. It really is a gorgeous place for anyone wanting complete privacy in a totally secluded location. From the moment you step foot in the reception there is a wave of calm that completely washes over you. The staff are lovely and friendly and immediately you just want to pull up a chair and sit by one of the relaxing waterfalls and listen to the bird chirping away in the trees. Heaven.

When I first met Roisin and Stuart they had been guests at several weddings recently and were a bit 'wedding-ed out' so it took me a little while to get to know them in order to create the perfect style for their day. However once we got into the swing of it it was full steam ahead and we created a ' Love Heart' themed day with goldfish (real ones!) in large hurricane vases for the centrepieces. Roisin was adamant that she wanted fish on her tables and with all the lovely water features at the venue they looked fab. Blush pink and cream were the main colours used with accents of gold here and there to give a bit of elegance and warmth to the decor. My favourite element were the wooden pink placecards that we created with a single love heart alongside the guest's name. We tied each one with a ribbon around the guest's napkin and they looked so cute. Several guests commented on them and they were a perfect keepsake. A couple of girls even tied them to their wrists as they danced into the small hours!

As the sun went down the action heated up with a flamenco show among other entertainers all superbly organised by Lisa Franco from Bella Weddings In Spain. Fab food as always was supplied by Marbella Catering and last but by no means least, my heartfelt thanks to Kris McGuirk for allowing me to use these gorgeous photos.
