Jenny and Dom´s Hillside Wedding : Sneak Peek!

Last weekend was the wedding of adorable couple, Jenny and Dom. I met them in person for the first time a few days before their wedding set in a stunning hillside villa in El Madroñal, Marbella and fell in love with them instantly. They are such a warm and friendly couple and were so chilled out that it made them a dream to work with. 

The couple´s fun sense of humour was evident in their guest placecards which were nicknames of their friends and family with either embarrassing childhood photos or character images.  For example guest Roland had good old Roland Rat (bring back memories anyone or am I showing my age?!) and one poor soul had a childhood photo with a tragic 70´s bowl haircut. We offset this quirky stationery with tall elegant silver candleabra centrepieces and decorated the venue with a mix of rustic and modern lanterns and decorations.

Pink and pretty wedding at the Villa Padierna

German couple Andreas and Nadine pledged their love for each other last Saturday at the stunning Villa Padierna surrounded by family and friends. Wedding planners Jenny and Jeanette from Marbella Wedding Angels oversaw the whole event and it was a day to remember. As the bride and groom are German (as is Jeanette) we relied a lot on Jeanette for translation and organisation on behalf of the couple while planning the decoration details. From early on Nadine had a very clear idea of the look she wanted for her wedding and we are pleased to report - through Jeanette´s translation skills once again! - that she was over the moon with the decoration and whole day. 

San Francisco based award-winning photographers Ben and Erin Chrisman were flown in especially for the wedding and while we wait in anticipation for their photos I will leave you with a few snaps we took on the day.

Decorating weddings with balloons

Classy or crude? I admit it, I don´t like balloons. At all. I don´t like the texture nor the way they make me jump when they pop. They scream ´kids jelly and ice cream party´ to me and not much more. So imagine how I felt when a couple asked me to decorate their wedding later this year jam packed full of balloons? Slightly disappointed if I´m totally honest. However, this is what the clients want. So I set about researching and designing. After wading through some pretty tacky and twee stuff I came across a few images that inspired me and actually look elegant and classy.
