Last Saturday was the wedding of our super couple Elaine and Niall at the Gran Melia Don Pepe in Marbella (
http://www.gran-melia-don-pepe.com). With clear blue skies and a chilled out bride the day could not have started better. The colours for the day were plum, latte, cream and peach (to coordinate with the bridesmaids) with scatterings of feathers and crystals. Elaine is an interior designer (no extra pressure at all then lol!) and was very hands on from the start of the design process which was great. We were always in touch and as she is such a bubbly girl the ´craic´ was great along the way.
The day began with the ceremony under a wooden gazebo in the hotel grounds which we dressed with cream organza and added a few pops of colour with some plum organza sashes. The wedding party then progressed to the cocktail area alongside the pool where guests were refreshed and nibbled at our pretzel bar while admiring the sea view. During which time the kids were kept occupied by activity packs so that the adults could enjoy a drink or two in (relative!) peace.
The reception meal overlooked the sea and continued with Elaine´s chosen colour scheme set off by romantic lighting which really came alive as the sun went down. The guests were treated to entertainment by the brilliant Rat Pack (l

Sadly we didn´t have much time to photograph the day as we were so busy getting everything ready so until we are lucky enough to receive some professional photos (as mine clearly are not!) here is a taster of things to come.
Special thanks again to Pilar the Event Manager and her team at the Gran Melia,
Lisa Franco wedding planner extraordinaire for a flawless day, Martin the videographer for the craic and stories, Lisa for the lovely flowers and all involved.
