Ivanka and Robert: The big event

Back in August at the quaint and beautiful La Virginia chapel in Marbella, Ivanka and Robert got married. This was the first time I had worked here and it was lovely. The church is set within a small and private community and it´s obvious to anyone that enters that the residents are fiercely protective over it. It´s like stepping back in time with its little cobbled streets and ´chocolate box´ houses all surrounded by rich and colourful plants and trees. It really is one of a kind. One of the local cats decided to come and say ´hi´ while we were putting down the aisle runner ready for the ceremony but it was rather too fond of it and tried its best to snuggle down on the runner at every opportunity. Black cat hair and a white aisle runner are not a good combination!
From the beginning Robert took charge of the styling side of their wedding as he works in advertising and was very much into putting his stamp (quite literally) into all aspects of their day. He designed a logo for them which we implemented onto the stationery and packaging. They opted for a bold poppy red and cool white colour scheme which carried through their flowers and decoration.

After the ceremony guests were transported to the El Oceano Hotel where they drank, dined and danced the night away overlooking the sea. Flowers by Maxine4Flowers.com. Special thanks as always to David Toms for allowing us to use his gorgeous photos.
